As the new year rolls in, the team at Abell Point are busy working towards this year’s new developments. From a community parkway and a floating customer hub to upgraded shore-side amenities and pontoon upgrades in the North marina, 2017 is set to be another year of change for APM.
One of the major developments in the pipeline for 2017 is the Abell Point Parkway. Development is well underway for this 2.5 hectares of private parkland to create a leisure hub within the marina precinct for both marina guests and the wider Whitsunday community to enjoy. As well as filling the gap for an expansive outdoor leisure space in the Whitsunday community, the completion of the Parkway will provide yet another reason for our customers to extend their stay and enjoy the Coral Sea Marina Resort village lifestyle.
The parkway, will be complete with an area of lush parkland with stunning views of the marina itself, including a 35m round splash park with water fountain play area, an intimate outdoor space for weddings and ceremonies, an open area for hosting concerts and events, seating and relaxation areas, a mobile café and a beach area designed for soaking up the atmosphere of the vibrant marina. Due for completion in mid-2017, the launch party for the Parkway will be a significant event in the cruising calendar and one not to be missed by boating enthusiasts from around the country.
In addition to the parkway and due for launch in April 2017, is a two-story floating pontoon space, designed to be reminiscent of a superyacht. With the increase in occupancy for in the marina it became obvious to the Abell Point team that a new, multi-purpose customer hub was required to provide the best service possible to our valued customers berthed in each area of the marina.
When complete, Oceans 20 will boast 12 contemporary private en-suite bathrooms and a fully equipped laundry area on the first floor, whilst the second floor will provide a relaxing customer hub complete with an exclusive waterfront sundeck area offering stunning marina views.
The sundeck will host an exclusive customer lounge offering a range of complimentary services such as beverages, Wifi and newspapers in a unique marina setting. Customers will be able to relax with views over the marina whilst they socialize with friends, utilize the Wifi or relax with a cool drink as the sun sets. Oceans 20 will provide a superb addition to the marina’s already first-class facilities.
In the next couple of months, the private amenities in both the north and south villages will receive a facelift, whilst the works will commence on upgrading the pontoons in the north village including a reconfiguration of the berthing arms to ensure utilization and comfort for our guests.
