The upgrade of the South Marina Village is close to being complete with a few small projects soon to be closed out. With the vision to create a destination marina, Abell Point are actively acquiring new entertainment options and activities to provide customers with a genuine entertainment precinct on the marina.
Arrival & Departure Plaza
The entry to the South Marina Village off Shingley Drive now provides customers with a streamlined multi-lane arrival and departure plaza with two large Port Cochere’s providing all-weather protection, allowing for an easier traffic flow and a comfortable process to unload provisioning or luggage. With the development of the south village entrance, an abundance of new car parking options are now available allowing for customers to leave cars for extended periods while out on the water.
Barcelona Tapas Bar & Latin Dancing
The new Barcelona Tapas Bar is a welcome edition to
the south village which now provides a Spanish inspired option for breakfast, lunch and dinner. With a magnificent foreshore outlook, Barcelona has quickly become the popular hang out in Airlie Beach to experience exquisite Spanish tapas and take in the vibrant activity of the marina boardwalk. Every Friday night, Barcelona is the location for Latin dancing classes where locals can wine and dine before hitting the dimly
lit decks for a twirl.
