Coral Sea Marina Resort received the great news this week that P&O and Princess cruise ships will continue to disembark their passengers through Coral Sea Marina Resort over the coming summer season. With the departure of Cruise Whitsundays to Port of Airlie, the cruise ships were presented with an alternative proposal to disembark passengers over at the new Port of Airlie reef terminal. However with the proven track record of operation and relationships built over the past 7 years coupled with the great new marina developments that have occurred, Coral Sea Marina Resort has been rewarded with the number one location for welcoming cruise passengers to Airlie Beach.
Owner Paul Darrouzet was thrilled and said ‘This is great news for marina tenants and commercial operators that have built good business from the cruise ships over the past 7 years and is a great opportunity to continue growing this business out of Coral Sea Marina Resort. My vision was to build a destination marina that all guests would enjoy and have a lasting experience and it is great to see this vision coming to fruition and being acknowledged by the cruise ship industry’.
It is also very important to note a very special group of volunteers that meet every cruise ship at Coral Sea Marina Resort with a smile and helping hand. The Cruise Ship Ambassador Group headed up by Judi & Keith Dunn do a remarkable job to greet all cruise ship passengers at Coral Sea Marina Resort and provide information about the region, tours and other important facts. Airlie Beach has repeatedly been named the most friendly welcome through cruise ship surveys and it is all owed to the great work performed day in day out by the wonderful volunteer group. Well done guys and thank you from Coral Sea Marina Resort.
