The Marina Industries Association‘s first North Queensland regional industry meeting is being hosted by Coral Sea Marina Resort on Friday 17 July. The meeting is attracting strong interest from the regional and more distant marina industry.
Over 30 attendees will participate including editors from leading marine industry media. An interesting agenda will be delivered including issue-based presentations from Federal MP for Dawson The Hon George Christenson MP, Colin Bransgrove from the MIA and Don Jones from Marine Queensland.
Participants will be welcomed by Paul Darrouzet, owner of Coral Sea Marina Resort in the Whitsundays. Paul will discuss the facility’s latest developments and innovations including the recent launch of the ‘Blue Carpet’ Customer Service initiative and the marina’s inclusion in the East Coast Luxury Aquatic Travellers’ Club (ECLAT).

Issues to be highlighted by the presenters and open for discussion will include state boat harbour valuations and leasehold regulations; developmental ‘red-tape’; regional environmental issues; current and prospective superyacht facility demands; marina operational issues as well as industry advocacy, education, research and accreditation updates.
