Today marks another significant milestone in the recovery project at Coral Sea Marina Resort with the completion of H, J and K arms in the north marina. Project Manager for jetty contractor Superior Jetties, Ryan Hogan, today officially handed over the completed arms to Abell Point Maintenance Manager, Ross Paterson. Works continue on F & G arm, which are schedule for completion mid July, with the first 10 berths being available at the end of June. The progress of the restoration work is testament to the commitment of Superior Jetties and their team to get Coral Sea Marina Resort back at full capacity by the end of July.
Maintenance Manager, Ross Paterson, says of today’s handover “We are pleased that the works have been completed on H, J & K on time and on budget. We have worked collaboratively with the experienced team at Superior Jetties to ensure as little disruption to our commercial operators and private guests as possible and will continue to do so, as we finalised the replacement of F, G and A arm over the coming weeks.”
Whilst there is still work to do, the progress being made is a positive sign for the marina and testament to the marina team’s focus on getting back to business. With many vessels arriving over the coming weeks to enjoy the winter cruising season in the Whitsundays, the replacement of the damaged pontoons, the opening of Ocean Club (scheduled for 1 July) and the success of the newly launched Hemingway’s restaurant are all indications of a bright future.
